Each Touchstone Series guitar begins with a meticulously selected old-growth Alaskan Sitka Spruce soundboard, braced with Adirondack Spruce sourced from Maine’s northern forests. This combination provides a rich, vibrant tone with exceptional projection and clarity. Dana Bourgeois’ signature hand-voicing technique—refined over 50 years—ensures that each top is crafted to perfection, delivering a voice that is both unique and resonant.
Once the Touchstone tops are approved by Dana Bourgeois, they are vacuum-sealed and shipped to Eastman’s workshop. There, a select group of luthiers, trained in Bourgeois' tonal philosophy and construction methods, integrates these tops into Dana's designs, bringing each guitar to life with meticulous craftsmanship.
